Between 24 and 31 July, a project on extremism took place in Beykoz, in the province of Istanbul, mainly aimed at young Europeans and raising awareness about the dangers and how to avoid extremism.
For me personally, it was my first project of this nature, so I went without any prior expectations. I think it is a very interesting and above all cheap way to get to know other cultures and other people from many parts of Europe.
I went, along with two other colleagues, on behalf of the association «Eo, Eo» of Spain.
The experience lived during those eight days was unforgettable and above all, very fun. There I have met a lot of people from many different cultures, and they have all been wonderful people. It’s funny, as coming from countries so different culturally, we have been able to understand each other so well.
I have also learned a lot about extremism, radicalism and fanaticism, in all its forms, and the training sessions in the morning were enjoyable as we played games and dynamics related to the subject in question.
In general, it has been a very, very fun trip and the best thing that I take with me are the people I have met there. I leave you some photos of what my experience has been.
